SM: Touching ears

Neo:*spots the newcomer and comes up to her* Hello! *looks at her ears curiously* I'm Neo, what's your name? *smiles*

Nelly: *having of been sitting on the ground idly, looks up at the boy.* Hello. *takes a moment to study this stranger, before smiling politely in return.*

Neo: Your name?*asks again, since it seems the girl didn't notice his earlier question*

Nelly: *fingers fumbling a bit with her dress* Oh! I'm Nelly, what's your name?

Neo: Pleased to meet you, Nelly! *smiles* I'm Neo!

Nelly: *stands up, and nods* You too! *despite just meeting this person, she finds herself smiling a bit*

Neo: Your ears look amazing! *sparkles in eyes* Can I touch them?

Nelly: *lets out a small giggle* I was about to ask you the same thing!

Neo: *laughs* I'm completely okay with that.

Nelly: *smile widens a little, and goes to touch Neo's ears, again forgetting to answer the boy's question*

Neo: *looks at her with a smile as she touches his ears*

Nelly: *lets out a small laugh, before remembering* Oh! You can touch my ears too if you want, I guess!

Neo: Oh! Nice, *reaches out both of his hands and softly takes hold of her ears, eyes starting to sparkle..* They have feathers on them... *surprised* Are you a bird?

Nelly: *nose crinkles, but laughs a little nonetheless before imitating a screech owl's hoot* Can you guess what bird?

Neo: *listens* It's a nice sound, but which bird...*looks to one side, looks to other, then up, then down:* Quail? But they don't have ears...*thinks a bit more* Owl? Not... probably.

Nelly: *nods in a bobble head-like fashion* An owl!

Neo: Oh.. Oh! *eyes light up in joy* I see, I haven't seen an owl with ears though, it was a wild guess, *laughs*

Nelly: *a bit of mischievousness makes its way over her features* Well, that's actually not where owl's ears are! *moves hair to reveal actual ears, which are a little tinier than normal* Here they are!  

Neo: You have human ears? *surprised* whoaaa, that's fancy! *eyes sparkle*

Nelly: *laughs a little* Thank you! I wish they were my actual ears though, *puts hands ontop of my head* then there might be some use for them! As for as I know, they're pretty pointless. But I like them anyway.

Neo: Mhm, they are pretty! *smiles* Do you have a tail? *asks while tilting his head lightly*

Nelly: Well, sort of! I have some feathers at uh... the end of my spine. And then *looks down at the sides of my arms* I grow feathers here too, but my mama would always pull them off, then I started to do it too. It's kind of a bad habit, like biting your fingernails! But, anyway, what's it like to have an actual tail?

Neo: Oooh, before you came, there was also a bird girl here and she could even fly, *smiles* Maybe if you didn't pull them out, you could fly too. *thinks* What's it like...I wonder what's it like to not have a tail?

Nelly: *looking at my arms once again, eyebrows perk up* I hadn't thought of that before. Maybe I could! *looking back at Neo* Not having a tail is pretty boring, if you ask me!

Neo: *smiles with a nod* So having one is interesting! *tail wags happily* It really hurts if you pull on if or step on it though.

Nelly: I can imagine! Other children on the street I used to live on would always pull the neighborhood cat's tail. It never seemed like he liked it very much!

Neo: *frowns* Whoa... that's so mean of them. Right..*face clears up as he tilts head thinking about it* humans don't have tails, so they might just not know how it feels.

Nelly: That's probably why!

Neo: Right, I doubt any of them would do that if they knew. Humans don't go poking or touching each-others eye-balls for this reason, since everyone has them and it feels like... *shivers and shrugs* You know what I mean?

Nelly: *scrunches up nose at the thought, but smiles a little* Eeeek, would that be strange!

Neo: *laughs* I know, right? *glances at the window* It looks like a nice day outside, want to go to the swings?

Nelly: *blinks, looking out window* Oh hey, you're right! I guess we should! *pauses, and glances at the other* ... I'll race you!

Neo: Okay! *smiles and starts running, then trips over his own feet and falls down*

Nelly: *runs past the boy, only to look back and see he had fallen over* *slows to a stop and lets out a small sigh* You all don't seem to do so well with playing games, you know. *walks over, and holds hand out to Neo* Did you get hurt?

Neo: It doesn't happen all the time, *sits up, blood stream flowing from his nose* It's okay.

Nelly: *seeing the blood, blinks in surprise* Ah! Oh bother... here, let's get you a handkerchief or something!! *takes Neo by the hand, beginning to lead him, only to realise I don't know where to go* ...oh, wait...

Neo: *at first doesn't notice his own blood, but when she touches his hand, instantly knows. A couple of blood drops fall on the carpet* Oh.. eeee.... *opens the door quite close to them and runs into a toilet, while still holding her hand and stuffs toilet paper in his nostril*

Nelly: *a little surprised by his sudden movements, and is maybe a little annoyed. Although, she gets over it quickly.* I hope your nose doesn't bleed too much...  *hand going to the tufts of hair on my head that look like ears, she wonders what it's like to have actual animal ears. Looks like fun...*

Neo: *senses her anoyment and senses it passing, but assumes it's just something like insecurity from his side, since it's not like he should be able to tell Mhm, I hope so too. *nose stuffed* Having animal ears must be around the same as having any other ears. *adds to her trail of thoughts, not exactly realizing she didn't tell that, since was too preoccupied with stuffing paper in nose*

Nelly: *a little surprised, but, maybe I said that outloud?* Is the tissue helping your nose?

Neo: You did say it out loud, *nods, still stuffing his nose* It is. *smiles and looks at her, two rolled up bits sticking out like moustache*

Nelly: Oh... *is slightly puzzled, but moves on* Okay! And that's good. *laughs near the end of my sentence, as he does look pretty silly.*

Neo: *looks in the mirror and chuckles as well, then realizing that he's hearing things that she isn't saying, since he did hear her thoughts about him looking silly, while her lips weren't moving at all to form all the words she said. Stares at her surprised for a while, dazed, dumbfounded.*

Nelly: *blinks at Neo, confused as to why he's staring at me* ...Neo?

Neo: Have you.. ever participated in a Soulmatch? *asks*

Nelly: Oh, no, I'm afraid not, but I've heard the name before. Is it a sort of game?

Neo: *lets go of her hand, seeming a bit shaken up, he has discovered his own power, but it didn't make him happy at all, he wanted a cool power like moving things with thoughts not peeking into others minds. Smiles then trying to hide his feelings* Well, it's not really a game. It's something we do, when one cumimi from each side touches a gray - we go into the memories and try to make a change. You'll see when you do one.  

Nelly: *thinks this over, before looking back at Nero* Oh, okay! *takes an extra moment to study him* ..are you okay?

Neo: Mhm, completely okay. *tries to smile brightly taking out the paper from nose, blood having stopped* See~

Nelly: *just smiles, before getting some clean tissue paper, turning on the sink a moment to wet the paper, before starting to clean up Neo's nose* Do naps actually help after you have a bloody nose?

Neo: *let's his nose being cleaned and wags his tail, happy for the attention* Naps help for everything! *nods with a smile* I happen to trip all the time, so maybe my nose is just used to it and heals fast.  

Nelly: Oh, that's good to know! *assuming that means Neo is now perfectly fine, takes him by the hand, leading him outside* What game do you want to play?

Neo: *follows her, then gasps realizing they are holding hands again, not wishing to peek in her mind, tries to pull his hand out in a careless accidental manner* I'm not sure... though now that I'm walking I feel that my head is very heavy, maybe I should find big sister Alexis or the priest to check if it's all right?  

Nelly: *at first, takes what he said literally, and scrunches up her nose. How can someone's head get heavier?* *looks back at Nero, and realises what he meant. Hopefully, at least, she hadn't said that outloud.* Oh, okay. Do you need someone to go with you?

Neo: Nu-huh, *shakes head* I'll run to see priest. I think, It won't take long though, so... If you want you can wait me at the swings. They are in the backyard, impossible to miss. *suggests, waiting what she'll say*

Nelly: *doesn't take very long to think about it, and nods, smiling* Alright! Swings are a lot of fun!

Neo: *runs upstairs and enters the priest's room. After talking a bit to the priest comes outside as well, trying to forget the conversation with tail lowered, showing he's kind of sad*

Nelly: *while waiting, begins to swing back and forth contently. She nearly forgets about Nero, until she sees him coming back* *sees that he looks kind of sad, and is secretly a little disappointed-- he probably won't want to play games now! Maybe she could try to make him feel better?* Why so glum? *slowly stops swing*

Neo: Nu-huh, it's okay. *breathes out and throws the sad thoughts out, smile returning to face* There's something cool you can do with swings, watch me. *grins, jumps on the swings and after a short while makes a 360 degree spin around the pole.* See?

Nelly: *watches, and blinks in surprise* Wh-- how did you do that??

Neo: Simple! *grins* Swing higher and higher and you will just go around*

Nelly: As much as I like the idea of swinging on a swing, that sounds a little scary..

Neo: Then it's okay to not do it, I think. It's only fun if you feel like it would be fun... or something like that. *smiles childishly*

Nelly: Okay, good. *starts to swing, instantly starting to smile*

Neo: *sits down and starts swinging slowly as well, trying to match Nelly's pace unconsciously*

Nelly: *after a small time, she looks over at Neo* Have you ever wondered what it's like to fly?

Neo: I know how it is. *replies with a grin* Before you came, there was a girl with wings here, she took me up once. It was amazing!

Nelly: *eyes widen* R-really? No way! What was it like?

Neo: It was like *gestures with hands some crazy movement* and it felt scary and exciting at the same time and we could see so much! *taill wags excitedly*

*as they sit around, smell of food flies around and Alexis' voice can be heard from the inside*

Neo: Lunch! *eyes sparkle* Let's go?

Nelly: *at his suggestion, slows the swing to a stop and nods* Okay!

Neo: *runs to the dining room*
