SM: Wooden swords

Neo: *sits on a windowsill on the first floor and looks outside*

Nelly: *running down the hall on the second floor. She reaches the stairs, and, one by one, jumps down them, loudly stomping with each stair.*

Neo: *turns around and sees Nelly* Morning! *greets with a smile, jumping off the sill and coming closer*

Nelly: *barely hearing him, continues to stomp-hop down the stairs. She doesn't look at him until she reaches the last step. But when she does see him, she smiles.* Hi Nero!

Neo:*nods and chuckles* Neo, not Nero, though Nero does sound fancy.

Nelly: *for a moment, seems surprised at the correction, and she simply stares at him before shrugging it off.* Yeah, Neo. *folds arms* *After a moment of silence, she eyes him curiously* Have you ever seen a ghost?

Neo: We are dealing with them all the time, ha ha. *laughs*

Nelly: Oh! Right, well... *glances at the ground* Do some of them actually wear a blanket sheet? *looks a little embarrassed for having to ask such a silly question*

Neo: I don't know, *serious expression* Maybe some do.

Nelly: It would be interesting to find out... *narrows eyes in thought, before her face relaxes and she just shrugs* Anyway, want to play a game?

Neo: *eyes light up* A game? What kind of game?

Nelly: *contemplating his question, begins walking in circles around him* Hmmm... Can you sword fight?

Neo: I haven't tried that yet. *answers with a small smile*

Nelly: Tsk, tsk, tsk... *she lets out a small sigh.* Well, I guess one never knows what they can do until they try. *She grabs Neo by the hand, starting to lead him outside.* Come on, let's see if you are any good at it.

Neo: All right~ *nods with a smile and follows her*

Nelly: *When they get outside, she picks up two crudely made wooden swords by a tree, giving one to Neo* Here.

Neo: *looks at the sword* You made it?

Nelly: Y-yeah, so? Big deal. *She walks a decent distance from him, instantly becoming very focused.* Alright, so! We're going to have a little battle-- but a friendly one, as we're not enemies and I don't want you to get hurt and I don't want to get any splinters. Do you know how to hold a sword, at least?

Neo: *eyes light up* That's amazing! *looks at the sword intently, then glances at her as she suggests they have a battle and tilts head lightly, uncertainly* Like this? *holds it from the opposite side, then notices she's holding it differently and fixes the side, trying to mimic how Nelly is holding it*

Nelly: *waits for him to fix the sword, before nodding.* Alright then... Ready?

Neo: *nods with a determined expression, while holding the sword*

Nelly: Okay! One, two, three! *pounces at*

Neo: *at the first hit on the sword, it falls out of his hands* Whoa.. *surprised*

Nelly: *lets out a sigh* You can't just let it drop out of your hands!

Neo: Ha ha, *picks it up again* I was just surprised. *smiles apologetically and holds it firmer now*

Nelly: *becoming focused again* Okay... Ready! One, two, three, go! *With that, she runs at him again.*

Neo:*holds the wooden sword firmly, ready for her attack, following her movement with his eyes*

Nelly: *trying to make sure not to be super forceful, she hits Neo's sword*

Neo: *this time it doesn't fall out of his hands and he feels proud of himself about it. Tail wags, eyes glued to Nelly's sword waiting for what will come next.*

Nelly: *hops back.* Okay, that was a little better than the first time. *It is in that moment Nelly realises she doesn't really know where she's going with this, so she chooses to make it up as she goes along.* Now, I'm going to lunge at you, and you have to dodge it, okay?

Neo: *nods with a smile and waits for her to attack again*

Nelly: Okay! *with that, she lunges at him, her aim going towards his arm*

Neo:*spots the attack, panics a bit and jumps to the side, trips over his own feet and makes a roll, somehow managing to end the roll on his feet. Stands up a bit surprised, how did that happen even.*... Does that work? *has forgotten what they decided on earlier for him to do*

Nelly: *a little surprised herself* Uh... yeah! That should work just fine. *She pauses to look around a moment, before her amber eyes rest on Neo again.* I think you'll be alright. Now, *she begins to pace around him, acting serious* Do you want to be a knight, or a pirate? *She grins a little.*

Neo: Knight! *answers instantly* I'm a good guy. *smiles praising himself*

Nelly: Ah, alright. *She pauses a moment, to contemplate the plot of the game.* Okay! Here's what we're gonna do. You're the heroic knight, and I'm the evil pirate who stole the king's crown!

Neo: *nods, breathes out and straightens his back, starting to act* Evil pirate, why did you do that? The king might be crying, you know... *acts sad*

Nelly: *instantly gets into character, and a mean smirk possesses her face* He shouldn't have left it on the table then! Such a silly king you have. *her hands go to her hips, and she laughs at Neo.*

Neo: Just because he's silly, doesn't mean you should abuse him! *looks at the 'pirate' reproachfully and takes up his sword* Give it back, it's not yours!

Nelly: Of course I can! And a silly knight isn't going to tell me what to do! *pulls out her sword, and confidently holds it, meeting his gaze.* The crown is mine, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Neo: I might be silly, but I will not give up! *swings the sword at her sort of cautiously, not certain if he's doing it right*

Nelly: *without hesitation, she "clashes" swords with him.* Nonsense! You won't be able to defeat me! I'm the Great Pirate Captain!

Neo: *looks sideways a bit, like thinking 'that must be right'* You never know before you try! *says that more of himself and jumps back, to strike forwards again*

Nelly: *she then leaps back, to dodge the blade.* Ha! You'll never know how dumb your decision was until you've done it, more like! *of course this is totally hypocritical, and Nelly realises this as soon as it leaves her mouth, but she chooses to dismiss it and continue being an evil pirate, so she turns and starts to run away.*

Neo: *this game starts to feel more real and Neo forgets he's not actually the knight fighting to get back the crown and chases after Nelly* I will not let you escape, *there's more passion in his voice than there was before*

Nelly: *laughs at Neo, running towards the forest.* You're going to have one heck of a time trying to do that!

Neo: There are no easy fights~ *keeps running after her, from time to time stumbling, but managing to keep his footing to continue following*

Nelly: *she glances back at him, grinning, before continuing to run. To avoid getting lost in the forest, she turns to the right, rather than deeper into the forest.*

Neo: *tries to cut the change of direction too sharply and stumbles, falling into a bush, then rolls down a small hill, luckily not colliding with any trees so far* Uwaaaaaaa~ *makes a troubled sound, not being able to stop from the inertia*

Nelly: *hears Neo fall, and stops running to turn her head and see if he's alright. She ends up walking over to him, peering over at where he is.* Uh oh... *she starts to go after him, as she doesn't want him to get hurt.*

Neo: *stops after rolling down hill, landing in a cow-berry shrub, and the first thing he does, before his head stops spinning is bite off some berries*

Nelly: *she runs down to him, being careful not to tumble down the hill herself. Standing beside him, she looks down at him with a bit of concern. But still trying to look pirate-y, she puts her hands on her hips.* Ha, you silly knight... _{are you okay??}

Neo: I'm not down yet! ... _{I'm okay} *realizes he is down and blushes a bit* In my heart, I mean! *stands up wooden sword still in his hand, though he does glance at it surprised, like he wasn't expecting it to be there after the fall*

Nelly: *she glances at it at well, before drawing her own sword. Although, she doesn't really know what she's supposed to do* Ha! *is all she ends up saying, before dashing off again*

Neo: *proceeds to run after her, bits of moss and leaves falling off from his clothes* You can't run forever~ *proceeds running. In a short while - a crook appears in front of them - not very wide nor deep and with amber colored water.

Nelly: You can't either! *she calls, and she runs until she reaches the crook. Nelly looks over her shoulder at Neo, then back at the water, wondering if she should try to jump over it.*

Neo: *Doesn't have a reply to that. Runs closer and spots the water. Forgetting that he is chasing Nelly for a moment, stops to curiously observe it*

Nelly: *Again she glances at it, before indeed making the decision to jump over it. Attempting to go back into character, she sticks her tongue out at him, hoping he didn't think she was just being mean.*

Neo: *returns to character as well* You are cornered, You!.. you... you...? *can't think of a decent insult*

Nelly: Nonsense! *she pulls out her sword, a confident grin spreading over her face.* Truly, you are quite the silly knight.

Neo: I might be silly, but not weak! *jumps closer his sword drawn and swings the sword aiming for her stomach*

Nelly: *alarmed, she stumbles back, but falls into the water.*

Neo: *as the cold water drops splash on his hands completely snaps out of it, the image of being a knight and her - a pirate, fading instantly* Nelly! *calls out worried*

Nelly: *she does get a little caught up in the water, but is able to grab a nearby branch on a twisted tree.* My socks... *she mumbles, as wet socks are no fun at all.*

Neo: *breathes out relieved seeing she looks all right* Uh, uh, better take them off, *reaches out his hand, so she could take it to get out of the water*

Nelly: *is able to take his hand, and she looks up at him.* Ya think? *"This is why I normally don't wear shoes," she grumpily thinks to herself.*

Neo: Yeah, *then chuckles about her grumpy remark at first not noticing that she didn't say the last bit* You usually don't wear them, huh?

Nelly: *getting out of the water, she glances at him a bit peculiarly.* Yeah, not usually. What gave you that idea?

Neo: *realizes she probably didn't say that out loud before and makes a sheepish smile trying to hide the feeling of being busted* Just a hunch?  

Nelly: *sits down, taking off her shoes and socks. "The Barefooted Pirate," she thinks to herself, before looking back at the water.* Do people fish here?

Neo: *casually lets go her hand not to overhear anything more* Nu-huh, I don't think so, there doesn't seem to be any... *observes the water* ...fish, maybe there are some further downstream.

Nelly: *gets to her feet, smiling a bit.* You think so? Let's go find out!

Neo: *nods happily* All right! It would be nice to find some.

Nelly: *picking up her socks and shoes, she starts heading down the stream, curious to see what types of fish they might see.*

Neo: *walks next to her and intently observes the water. The further they go, the deeper it seems to get and a short while later a silverish glint appears in it and then - a bunch of tiny small fish jump up, like escaping from something. Neo's tail starts wagging*

Nelly: *as if her hair were feathers, her hair seems to ruffle up a moment when she sees the fishes, before returning to normal. She peers down into the water curiously, a smile coming over her face.* I wonder where they're going...

Neo: *stares at Nell's hair curiously for a while, then looks back at the water* They are not going anywhere, *answers with a grin* They are running from a predator - I'd guess there's either a pike or trout chasing them, *as he says that, close to the shore on the opposite side from them a school of small fish jump up in the air again* Looking at that makes me feel hungry, *seems to be drooling a bit*

Nelly: *laughs a bit when the fish jump into the air, and has a big smile on her face.* They make you hungry?

Neo: Uh-uh, they do. *mentions, brushing off his drool* Means some predator fish is having a lunch right now, I always get a bit hungry when others are eating, don't you?  

Nelly: Yeah, actually. *she lets out a small sigh.* Well, now that you mention being hungry, now I'm hungry!

Neo: Let's go back for now? *suggests, looking up at the sky, it looks like midday already, so lunch would be ready sometime soon* We can return sometime later to fish them, maybe tomorrow? Mornings as best for fishing.
